Why is a Law degree considered hard but History isn't?

In the practice of law and medicine there is a cut and dry result. You win or you lose and lives and lifestyles are directly impacted. Everyone is subject to the law. The mass of men can live their lives and not care one way or the other if your history is right or wrong.
