When I fed my Tiger Oscar mealworms, I later found the empty mealworm shells floating around in the tank.?

This was the first time he has had mealworms and I am not sure if he regurgitated the carapaces or if he passed them out as faeces. Has anyone experienced this? Is it safe to feed him mealworms again or is this a sign that they don't agree with him?
