Which is there a better chance? parakeet breeding.?

My female has spent more than half her life with this male and laid eggs unfertile ones though but she already kicked them out of the nest. And the male had more "interest" with his toy "playing" with it than her so i took it away and now trying to mate with her but she doesnt want him anywhere near behind her although they feed eachother by regurgitating and all. Im thinking of getting another male to see if they have a better chance of mating than him. Do they bond quickly? Can the female mate with one male with another in the cage and there be no problems? I have another cage i can put them in. Will the males fight? Will they kill eachother? Which will have a better chance of mating quicker a new male or the old male. I have many questions and all the answers i can get will help.
